On Saturday, 27th August, from 12noon to 1pm, Choice Ireland will hold its latest demonstration against the rogue crisis pregnancy agency, the WRC, at 50 Upper Dorset Street, Dublin 1.

The agency, which is associated with the Christian Solidarity Party, uses deceptive advertising to attract women considering abortion, and subjects them to harmful and unethical tactics to influence their decision. These tactics include false medical information, bullying, emotional manipulation and breaches of the women’s confidentiality. Its tactics have been exposed on several occasions by Choice Ireland and various newspapers and radio stations.

Choice Ireland will again call for the introduction of a proper regulatory framework governing this area. Current law allows anyone to establish a “crisis pregnancy counselling agency” and operate without any regulation whatsoever, as long as they do not give information on how an abortion can be obtained.
