Choice Ireland T-Shirts in time for Xmas!! Choice Ireland activists took part in Independents Day on Nov. 22, 2009, at the Dublin Food Co-op. The CI stall was a great success, with lots of people stopping by to talk about the issues, express interest in the group and check out our array of badges, T-shirts, leaflets and posters.
Three speakers talk about the pro-choice struggles in Ireland they were involved in over the last three decades. These include the 1983 anti-referendum campaign, the Womens' Information Network, the SPUC v students case, Dublin Abortion Information Campaign, X-Case, Repeal 8th Amendment, 1992 Referendum, Dublin Abortion Rights Group, Alliance for a No Vote, 1998 referendum, Choice Ireland and the D-Case.
Choice Ireland has written to all the Irish political parties to ask under what circumstances, if any, they would allow legal abortion in Ireland. We will post the replies here as we receive them.
