About Choice Ireland

Choice Ireland was founded in 2007 by a diverse group of pro-choice activists. We are a voluntary organisation with no full-time or paid staff, no office, and no funding. We are not affiliated to any political party.

Choice Ireland opening statement to the Oireachtas Health and Children Committee

Choice Ireland would first of all like to thank the committee for the opportunity to put forward the voices of the young women of Ireland who are at reproductive age and who will be most affected by this legislation. We would like to congratulate the government on finally commissioning a report on this, and assuring the Irish public that this will be dealt with in a timely manner.

Call to action to help Aurora in Costa Rica

Choice Ireland stands in solidarity with Costa Rican women fighting for the right to legal abortion.  We ask for Irish support for Aurora, whose tragic circumstances are described below. Please sign the petition, email the addresses at the end and share this page with others.

Donate to Choice Ireland

Choice Ireland is a non-funded voluntary activist organisation. All we have, we raise through donations. Anti-choice groups are lobbying strongly against even such a limited change as legislation for the X case. We need to be able to counter this.
Your donation will help Choice Ireland continue to work for women’s reproductive rights in Ireland and fight back against the anti-woman agenda.
